ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Charley and since experiencing the positive benefits of yoga both physically and mentally, I always wanted to share this knowledge with other people.
I know how difficult it can be as a beginner to get started and feeling so overwhelmed by hearing all those names for the poses, watching others doing advanced poses and don’t know even how to properly do a pose.As yoga is such a benefit for your body, mind and soul, I am here to share my knowledge and passion in a private, personalized setting.My goal is to make you feel comfortable and be your guide in your yoga journey.

Yoga is all about feeling balanced, finding your inner peace and getting to know yourself better. It’s not only about doing the perfect poses or needing to get into a difficult pose.
As your guide, I will teach you how to listen to your body and create a practice that is based on your needs.
We'll start this yoga journey with a call or chat to discuss your goals and plan your personalized practice.
Your private yoga classes can be online, in nature, at home or even your hotel. (Available in Dutch or English)
By practicing yoga based on your needs and where you are at, you will learn how to listen to your body and see how beneficial this is for your own body, mind and soul.It can be overwhelming sometimes to be in a group class with different people with their own abilities and experience. Unfortunately the comparison arises so quickly and you loose what yoga is all about.
It’s not about how perfect you look, how flexible you are,... it’s all about the connection with yourself. In a private yoga session, you will learn all the basics and get to your goals quicker in a safe environment where the session is all about you.As some people prefer to have private classes permanently, it can also work as a preparation to join group classes after a while.
As every day is different we will combine different yoga styles based on how you feel that day. Sometimes you can be full of energy and are ready for some powerful flows but other days you can benefit from a slower flow with more stretching.Dedication and practice is key. Yoga is a lifestyle and therefore I always recommend to practice it regularly to create this habit and feel the difference.

Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also referred to as yogic sleep. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. It is different from a guided meditation because we will be reading from a script in a higher pace guiding you to a deep state of awareness.
It is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. Some people can fall asleep and therefor only hear specific parts of the meditation. This is not a problem as they say your consciousness will pick up all the things being said.Yoga Nidra is often practiced together with Yin or restorative yoga to first get into a calm state.
It is very relaxing and helps to relieve stress. Often times it is used to recover from traumas.Yoga Nidra uses visualisation to uncover unconscious material messages that are held deep within the subconscious. With using these visualisations we’re trying to tap into material that may be present and influences your day to day life we are unaware of.Yoga Nidra works with unconscious manifestations of the mind so that we can clear some of our patterns and move forward in our life.

Yin Yoga
You are holding poses for at least several minutes and stretching the connective tissue around a joint which means it works deeply into your body.Yin yoga can be quite challenging when staying in the poses for a longer time.
It targets the deepest tissues of the body (f.ex. ligaments, joints, bones, and the fascia in the hips, pelvis and lower spine), rather than the muscles.Compliments the muscular styles of yoga like vinyasa, ashtanga, yang that are focused on the internal heat and strengthening and lengthening the muscles.It is beneficial for your blood circulation and improves the flexibility but also encourages deeper relaxation and brings balance in the mind and body.
Yin yoga is practiced on cold muscles. Only then the muscles will take the stress (we are putting a muscle into exhaustion) rather than the joints, ligaments and bones. Afterwards the muscle will rest and will repair itself to build more muscle, coming back stronger than it was before.Also here there is no fixed sequence, poses can vary and you can implement themes for stimulation of the meridians.

Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures which are never the same. You can prepare your body and build the class up to work to a peak pose or even work on a theme like the chakras.There is no standard sequence so the style and pace will vary depending on the teacher.
Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body and prevent repetitive motion injuries that can happen if you are always doing the same thing every day.It can be seen as a full-body workout where you work on strength and length in your muscles.
Vinyasa encourages self-reflection and mindfulness, the temporary nature of things. We enter into a posture, stay there for a while while focussing on the breath and then get out of the posture.By using breathing exercises, focussing on awareness and exploring meditation, you will notice what the benefits of yoga are for self-transformation and healing.

CANCELLATION POLICY
24 hours notice must be given for cancellation without a full charge. If less than 24 hours notice is given for cancellation, the client will be billed for the full session price or the session will be counted as used from the package.

1. I’ve never done yoga before. Are private sessions right for me?
Absolutely! During the private sessions, I will explain all the basics about the yoga poses, meditation, breathing exercises so you get all the info you need to start your yoga journey. In private sessions, we can work on your personal goals and most importantly at your own pace.
2. I’m in. What do I need to do now?
You can either contact me through the contact form so we can have an introduction call to discuss the plan or you can also book an introduction session that already includes a yoga class of 60min to introduce you to a private yoga class.
3. What do I need for the yoga class?
Wear comfortable clothes, bring some water and a towel.
I have premium quality yoga mats, blocks, straps and bolsters available to use.
If you have your own yoga mat, you are of course welcome to bring your own.
4. How much does it cost?
This is something we discuss during our introduction call or session.
It all depends on how many times you want to practice.
I offer several package deals to stimulate the ongoing process.
Prices start from $70/hour
5. How do I pay?
You can either pay cash, bank transfer, Stripe, or Paypal or in studio with Debit or Credit Card.
The booking system runs through Stripe, but if you don’t have this, you can contact me directly to make the booking and use another payment option.
6. Where are the lessons?
You can choose whether you want to practice in the studio, at home, at the beach, in your hotel or guest house or even online.
7. How do online lessons work?
I send you an invitation link for zoom and we meet up 10 minutes before to check if we can see and hear each other accordingly.
For these sessions, you need a mat, blocks or big books, a blanket and a bolster or some pillows so you can use these when you need them.
